Excess engine vibration or a lot of noise under the hood could be the result of a broken or cracked engine mount. Engine mounts literally hold the engine in place. If an engine mount breaks, it could create numerous problems including CV joint separation, exhaust leaks, and steering issues. A problem with an engine mount could also cause the engine to sit crooked or out of alignment. These issues can quickly become expensive if the problem isn’t addressed. Always have unusual noises or vibrations looked at as soon as possible.
