During the heat of summer, never leave loved ones in a closed vehicle. Children, pets, the elderly and even plants are especially susceptible to extreme temperatures, which—in 90 degree weather—can reach 109 degrees after just 10 minutes in a closed vehicle. After 30 minutes, temperatures can surpass a deadly 124. And leaving windows open a crack doesn’t help!  Always double check to ensure everyone, and every living thing, has been removed from your vehicle before leaving it.  And keep empty vehicles locked so children can’t inadvertently become trapped inside.
